At Los Lagos Hotel we are committed to protecting the privacy of our guests and visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law 25,326 (LPDP), its Regulatory Decree 1558/2001, and the provisions of the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP).

2. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data in the following contexts:

• Contact form: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of the message.
• Online bookings: first and last name, email, phone, ID or passport number, nationality, credit/debit card details (processed directly by the payment processor), stay dates, and room preferences.
• On-site check-in: ID or passport number, as required by the provincial police guest registration regulations.
• Web browsing: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent, through technical cookies and —only with your consent— analytics cookies (see section 7).

3. Purpose of processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• To manage and confirm accommodation bookings.
• To respond to inquiries and requests made through the contact form, email, or phone.
• To comply with legal guest registration obligations before the provincial police authority.
• To issue tax receipts in accordance with AFIP requirements.
• To improve the user experience on the website through aggregate traffic analysis.
• To send information about the establishment or promotions, solely and exclusively when the data subject has given their express consent.

4. Legal basis

The processing of your data is based on:

• Performance of a contract: the data necessary to manage the booking and the stay.
• Compliance with a legal obligation: guest registration and the issuance of tax receipts.
• Consent of the data subject: for sending commercial communications and the use of cookies that are not strictly necessary.
• Legitimate interest: for the aggregate analysis of web browsing for the purpose of improving the service.

5. Recipients and data transfers

Your data may be shared with:

• Cloudbeds, Inc. (United States): hotel management platform and booking engine. Cloudbeds processes data in the United States, a country that does not have an adequacy declaration from the AAIP. The hotel has entered into a data processing agreement with Cloudbeds that includes the appropriate safeguards set out in Art. 12 of Law 25,326.
• Payment processors: card data is processed directly by the payment provider integrated into the booking engine under PCI-DSS standards. The hotel does not store card numbers.
• Web analytics providers: Google Analytics (Google LLC) and PostHog (PostHog, Inc.), based in the United States. They are only activated if the user consents to analytics cookies (see section 7) and process pseudonymised browsing data to produce usage statistics. Transfers to the United States rely on contractual clauses with adequate safeguards under Art. 12 of Law 25,326.
• Competent authorities: Provincial Police, AFIP, or other authorities when there is a legal obligation to report.

We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for their own commercial purposes.

6. Retention period

• Booking and stay data: kept for 5 (five) years from the check-out date, in compliance with the contractual statute-of-limitations periods set out by the Civil and Commercial Code of Argentina, and with tax obligations before AFIP.
• Contact form data: kept for as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry and, at most, 1 (one) year after the last communication.
• Police guest register: in accordance with the periods required by the applicable provincial regulations.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use two categories of cookies and browser local storage:

• Necessary (always on): essential for the website and the booking engine to work. They include your language preference, your VAT/residency preference, the state of the Cloudbeds booking engine, and the record of your own cookie choice. They require no consent because the requested service cannot be provided without them.
• Analytics (require your consent): Google Analytics 4 and PostHog. They let us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (page views, traffic sources and, in PostHog's case, session replay to spot usability issues). They do not load or set any cookie until you give your consent.

On your first visit you'll see a notice to accept or reject analytics cookies; nothing is activated until you choose, and rejecting is as simple as accepting. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the "Configurar cookies" (Cookie settings) link in the footer, without affecting your use of the site. We do not use behavioural advertising cookies. These analytics services may involve the transfer of pseudonymised data to the United States (see section 5).

8. Rights of the data subject (Habeas Data)

In accordance with articles 14 to 16 of Law 25,326, the data subject has the right to:

• Access: request information about the personal data the hotel holds about you.
• Rectification: request the correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated data.
• Erasure: request the deletion of your data where appropriate under the law.
• Confidentiality: require that your data not be transferred to third parties without your consent.
• Objection: object to the processing of your data for commercial communication purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@loslagoshotel.com.ar, stating your full name, ID number, and the right you wish to exercise. The hotel will respond within 5 business days in accordance with Art. 14 of Law 25,326.

If you believe your request has not been addressed, you may turn to the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), the supervisory body for Law 25,326: www.argentina.gob.ar/aaip.

9. Data security

The hotel adopts the technical and organizational measures necessary to ensure the security and integrity of personal data and to prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorized processing, or access, taking into account the state of technology and the nature of the data stored (Art. 9, Law 25,326).

10. Changes to this policy

The hotel reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any change will be published on this page with the corresponding update date. We recommend reviewing this document periodically.
